They're all about hogs at this Cahaba Heights convenience store-turned-smokehouse. Indeed, if you've never had Alabama barbeque before and aren't sure what to expect, Miss Myra's swinish decor goes a long way toward demystifying the experience for first-timers. Ribs, of course, are the way to go for a hearty hankering, but they also serve up tasty doses of chicken (best tasted with Myra's signature white sauce), smoked ham, pulled pork, and beef.

After an extensive search around the Birmingham area, my wife and I gave the award of best ribs to Miss Myra's. Along with this is also the award for best chicken too. When we go there, I usually order a plate of ribs and my wife orders half a chicken. If you go there make sure your order the best green beans anywear, home cooking included.
